bolshi was (is?) one of the major players in the english "big beat"
wave from a year or two ago. their two biggest acts were rasmus
(who's from sweden actually) and laidback. laidback's single 'rock
your world' was quite ok. big beat is a very dance floor focussed
genre, and most of the music is now way past it's "best before" date.
on the other hand, i did a weekly radio show with a guy who was
then severely enamored with big beat in general and bolshi in
particular. i'm sure he'd disagree violently.
