Easily and it aint pretty. From what I understand, back when this series first came out the artist was given the task of selecting which tracks they wanted to appear on the compilation and then some asshole studio guy sequenced the tracks together. Later on in the series however, the person who's name was in the big letters on the front of the CD was the one doing the mixing (like kruder & Dorfmeister's mix and many others). Of course-I could be wrong...but this is what I was told and have come to understand as the truth.
