Two very different programs. If you only get one, get Cubase (or one of its competitors - StudioVision, Digital Performer, or Logic). These are integrated MIDI/audio programs which are the centerpiece of music production on the computer. Peak is a more specialized program, strictly for detailed audio editing and processing. Good to use in conjunction with one of the above, but limited by itself. No MIDI support! It's a different kind of animal.
