i hadn't asked until now, being loathe to resurrect the old "funkstorung: 33
or 45?" topic (a favorite of many a high school debate team, i hear).
however: there's a track on Global Communications' 76:14 -- i think it's
the B2 track -- that i regularly play at 45, and it's just perfect. a
beautiful mid-tempo breakbeat track with swooning female vocals... mixes
beautifully with some slower house (and, in fact, the first track on the
Dettinger CD sounds uncannily like it!). now, i can't believe that it's
supposed to be at 45, since the rest of the LP is 33... but damn, it just
sounds so right.
anyone else try this one?
