Hmm, not my finest moment in typing. What I meant was this:
I have a niggling suspicion that a lot of people interesting in working
with rhythm are doing so because they care about the results, but I suppose
that needn't be true of all people working with rhythm. Having said that, I
guess that most "conceptual artists" working with sound don't entirely
discount what the results are like, although some certainly do.
Thinking about it some more, I actually think almost all of those involved
with clicks and cuts style stuff are very much into the results... as
listeners on this list (rightly) describe it, this is "sound design". But
being concerned with process and the conceptual side of an art work
certainly is in no ways incommensurate with giving a shit about the results.
