irene: a funny story: when i first bought my aphex aural exciter, i was naively running it on *everything* (full bore, too :)) and wondering why i didn't notice much of a change in my studio (monitors through a regular ol' amp). then, at a "party" (with a real soundsystem), i was was playing out an ae/reloadish track I had just recorded and, no word of a lie, kept wondering why the windows on the far side of the room had just startled rattling like you wouldn';t believe. of course i was quickly informed by the club manager that his speakers were having toomuch of a workout during this particular tune and could i please "ahh, turn down the bass, you're going to knock my windows out". it was then that a realized that , *yes*, my aphex ae *was* working at home--the ae'd results just needed to be heard in the right audio situation. "duh" andrew :) Irene McC wrote:
