On the topic of insurance, etc
quoted 1 line He said the airline lost his records, (Bukem)> He said the airline lost his records, (Bukem)
Same thing happened to Tsuyochi Suzuki (Matsuri) when he came to play here two months ago.. "Lost"? "Stole"? What's going on? Their music collection is these people's livelihood. Talking to the manager of my local CD chain, their biggest business is made up from tourists and people's insurance claims. I constantly stress over theft - seeing I have 2/3's of my CD's sitting pretty in flight cases. Just last night a DJ friend told me of some CD's being stolen from a birthday party gig he played over the weekend. This is the reason I prefer making up my own CD-R compilations to take to gigs, rather than risk the originals, but then some domestic machines don't 'read' my discs ... so you can't f*ing win, can you. Insurance in this country is prohibitively expensive, especially regarding items of high value like hi-fi & electronic equipment, which seem to be hot favourites in break-ins. Sad topic.
