Wasn't it around the time that Ed and Andy were playing some boat party in the bay area while Ken Downie stayed in the UK. I think then Ken posted email to IDM and elsewhere saying that Ed & Andy had originally agreed to not pperform under the name Black Dog without him, but they were breaking this agreement by using the name for that party. He was unhappy about that... soon after the Plaid 12" came out on Clear I think. That must have been around the end of '94 or so, ya...? "Temple of Transparent Balls" was then and is now one of my favorite electronic music records of all time, so I was hoping they wouldn't split up... Solenoid
