I think this title cropped up once or twice in recent discussions, but I
just want to give a heads up to the new Urban Tribe "Collapse of Modern
Culture" (or something like that; I'm terrible with titles). Featuring
Carl Craig, A. "Shake" Shakir & a couple others (help here?), but
sounding pretty different from what I remember of the individual
artists.
Whole record's beautifully moody & murky. Heavy dub overtones to
several of the tracks. The best are long builders, massing up subtly
like storm fronts. Full review coming soon--but take this as an advance
warning.
