on my trip to france, i picked up about 30 records and i think it was one
of the most amazing pickups of my life.
on the first few days, i found aphex's "i care because you do", boc's "hi
scores", and dj krush's "ki-oku". not spectacular or rare, but
nonetheless, i was looking for these. in anecy, at this one record shop,
i saw this record entitled "autechre plays..*don't remember the rest*. i
didn't pick it up and am regretting it extremely. i did get plastikman's
"consumed" and "artifakts". again, not amazing, but the vinyl just went
OOP and i really wanted them. somewhere in marseilles i picked up
autechre vs. tortoise. is this rare? i also picked up a 1991 edition of
orb's "perpetual dawn". neat. on the final day in nice, i hit my heaven.
i walked into apocalypse records where my life was soon to change. the
showed me his personal rephlex collection and i aquired the following.
i picked up this caustic window vinyl compilation. there were three discs
and they were the joyrex j4, j5, and j9 discs. are these the ones that
run 300 bucks on ebay or are they simply part of a compilation. either
way it rules. it came in a plastic sleeve that opens up into three pieces
and had the caustic window compilation record cover as a sticker to keep
it shut. it cost me 40 bucks
i got bradley's robot with a massive rephlex poster. it's a grey
background with the logo.
i got kinesthesia's "empathy box" on white vinyl.
i got cylob's "industrial folksongs" for about 20 bucks
yeah, i think that were some of the highlights. can somebody please help
answer those questions.
thanks
shaun
