microstoria / reproviers - thrill jockey 3x12" 1st - stereolab/oval 2nd - ui/mouse on mars 3rd - jim o'rourke/violent onsen geisha i only have the second, which is pretty good. the mom-track ("pull moll") is beatless with strings and just a snappy crackling sound. the ui-track ("run? I jolly well won't run. I'll be happy to get you chaps another ball.") is just a weird sort of multipart-song. erh. only thing i've ever heard from ui, and i didn't even know they existed before i got this record. felt really bad when i found out because i'd earlier done a live electro performance at a small local party under the pseudonyme ui. listen before you buy. i didn't. but then again i got it really cheap. -bauri .
