Frankly I blast thru IDM anymore without reading 3/4 of the posts, so I
didn't read Gil's original post. I don't disagree with your premise,
but aren't you being a little harsh?
It is possible to 1) read glowing reviews of something, and then buy it
and have it not flip your switch 2) Enjoy releases by an artist and then
be sorely disappointed when they release something wack.
In general I figure that something like 20% of what I buy ultimately will
not trip my trigger, in which case I sell it back.
