i kinda like "...modern style" its that type of boring music that's okay to have in the background when checking your email. i recently downloaded the "jack kerouac" spoken word collection and think that it is a mighty fine album (s). i finally got into chiastic slide and am now trying to get into cichli. forcedexposure now has "music is rotted one note" on vinyl. i got mine. very good. my "xylem tube" does not have the silver "classics" sticker on it. do i possess a rarity or is it just a repress (although it is still fantastic) however good it is to have fresh meat in the field, i'm kinda feeling bad cuz no stuff from established artists have come out in awhile. i want some non-mp3 only rdj (ab5??) to come out. i found a copy of ab5 on some ftp server but i want the hard goods. when will squarepusher release a full length? i like "music is.." cuz it presents this state of mind where you don't feel welcome in. he's really good at setting atmosphere. i am looking forward to, however, the new orb album. kinda turned off the fact that it has vocals on it. but if they're anything like the vocals mike p. used on "the fear" then it's all good. are instrumental hiphopsters such as dj shadow, cam, and krush considered to be in the least bit IDM, or are they IGM, intelligent groove music?. lots of good idm songs seem to have a certain similiarity with the beats those guys use. that triumvirate also manages to pull out the same emotions from me as does good idm such as "iambic 5 poetry". oh well, somebody post something about this cuz i'm feeling lonesome and isolated from this list. peace, shaun --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
