OK... MASK is a collaborative label of Skam and Musik Aus Strom, two IDM labels which are currently "hot". MASK releases are 12" EPs featuring a handful of tracks by artists from each of the "parent" labels along with like-minded friends. They are somewhat unique in that there is no proper track listing, just a list of the artists which appear "in no particular order", so listening to the records can be a guessing game if you'd like. Finally, MASK releases are very limited - 01 was limited to 100 copies, 02 to 200, and the upcoming 03 is to be limited to 300. All of this adds up to make MASK records "special" in some people's eyes. Personally, I can't *imagine* paying the amounts being bid on these things, but to each his (or her) own, I suppose. Greg
