Is it such a rarity for IDMers to like NIN? (That's a legitimate
question, I'm new around here. :-) NIN is part of what made me aware
that this music was out there.>>
not really. a large amount of people i talk to heard the afx tracks on
further down the spiral and then got some rdj stuff and went from there. I
personally don't care for most nin stuff in general, but i loved pretty hate
machine a while back, and it led me to explore industrial for a short period,
until that fateful day when i heard ambient works 2, anyway...
Say what you will about Mr. Reznor, but you can't deny the fact he has a good
taste in music and gets some good remixers. Fixed is amazing and further
down the spiral is a pretty good disc.
one more thing: you gotta love that great quake soundtrack. who can't enoy
three minutes of a guy screaming?
np: gary moscheles: shaped... (yes i do enjoy some of this, who's with me!
some of it (mamborama, funk yo ass) sounds better at 45)
lp not this list-y: nin: fixed
goodbye jazz people,
