i'm sure i'll get flamed for saying so, but trent's original version of
Perfect Drug is much better than any of the remixes. the track listing for
the nothing release of perfect drug versions goes:
1. meat beat manifesto mix (7m39s)
2. plug mix (6m59s)
3. nine inch nails mix (8m25s)
4. spacetime contiuum mix (5m48s)
5. orb mix (6m17s)
i even think the nin remix is better than the others.. the plug mix is
nice. a mixture of noisy, crunchy breaks with some vibert magic thrown in.
the meat beat manifesto mix is really, really weak.. generic dnb. blegh.
the orb mix sounds really bad (and i love lx).. washed out and it doesn't
work. shrug. maybe it's me. the spacetime mix is kind of neat.. with some
echoed-out children's toy piano sound going on.
i'd check it out. i can't help it, i love trent reznor. sue me..
