The dx9 is pretty much the same as a dx7 but it's got 4 operators instead of 6 and doesn't have a velocity sensitive keyboard, which really sucks. If you're going to get a dx, I'd go for a 7 since they made over 150,000 of them and they're both available and cheap. I've got a TX816, which is 8 dx7 'modules' in a rack unit. You can get some pretty crazy IDMish noises out of it with any good dx7 patch editor. http://machines.hyperreal.org/manufacturers/Yamaha/DX-7/yamaha.DX-7.specs http://home.swipnet.se/~w-57218/art/synth/dx9_e.htm word to the mothership, brock ps. Picked up an access virus last week and it's AMAZING. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
