Hi Listers,
while recently tidying my collection, i rediscovered some low quality mp3s
of an album I fell in love with back in 2005 by Galaktlan, called Sinine
Platoo. After much searching, i concluded I could only buy this on 2nd hand
vinyl, so I contacted the man himself and he's kindly re-released it at my
request. In 48hrs, he's remastered it and added a few extra tracks and you
can now get it from bandcamp :)
It's a gorgeous soundscape of IDM niceness from Estonia. think autechre,
early arovane and general warmth and drifting. well worth the purchase.
Well, I read that back then and clicked the link and really dug it. Shortly thereafter, I started Carpe Sonum Records, and I contacted Galaktlan about reissuing Sinine Platoo on CD. I had a sizable backlog at that time, and I'm happy to report that it's finally at the pressing plant and will be available soon:
