The Rubber Jhonny single is basically an attempt on the mystery artist's part to join the vogue ranks of the 'drillnbass' subgenre (aka Squarepusher, AFX, Plug, Muziq etc). It's not bad, but not superb. It was one of those Warp sinlges that was shrouded in the ol' 'who is it' thing so that people would want to buy I guess. Sort of like Wooden spoon in that is was overhyped. On the first track the guy seems to have superglued his finger the the key that triggers the amen snare sample or something; it's a bit over done.
