well, no one I know of spends more money on computers or video games than
they do on cd's. I mean, of course computer stuffs are more expensive, but
they don't replace buying cd's. That's just all the people I know though ;)

heh ok. :)
I have to agree with Gonzi, it's pretty obvious this guy has no clue about
electronica or what it's "supporters" think is the good stuff. I mean, we
are the "supporters" as he calls us, and we certainly (at least the
majority) don't think that The Prodigy, Chemical Bros. and whatever the heck
Eric Clapton's techno project is called is what we believe to be good
electronica. I never even heard of some of the groups mentioned.
Personally, I thought the article with AFX in Newsweek was better, sure it
had Prodigy and chem. Bros, but it also had AFX, Orbital, FSOL.. three
pretty good examples of electronica. Also had Josh Wink and Daft Punk, good
examples of IDM. (daft punk is house = not electronica? anyone?)
Of course this article did have more information on the decline of the
pop-rock record sales, but this was given by the interviewees and not the
author.
