Whew, thankfully I avoided that.
The usual, Josh Wink, parties, scions of all kinds, sun, burnt brits,
over-priced everything, but from what I hear of London prices probably
cheaper than home, people who should not wear bikini's, some people not
wearing bikini's, BT, Deep Dish, Daft Punk was the big buzz, Paul Van
Dyke, the Stickmen, actually the Stickmen bring to mind an amusing story.
We (Plus 8) had a small party which was sponsored by ABSOLUT (free case of
Vodka) and was an open bar affair. It was a night for some techno (which
there wasn't much of on SoBe) and lots of drinking. We made the
"official" Plus 8 drink, and served it in Plus 8 shot glasses. Richie
Hawtin was the bartender, and when the Stickmen came to drink he made an
extra strong batch. The pair got soused. But they weren't thinking, 'cuz
they had a deep sea fishing charter for the next day with Wink and some
others, and the seas were pretty choppy. Anyway, we saw the Stickmen at
dinner that night and they were not a happy pair.
