In the middle of the washing-up I switched on 'one fm' and was most pleasantly surprised to hear "I made love to a communist" by Jane Bond & the Undercover Men. What a neglected classic. Anyway, after that were the first two tracks in the Black Dog session. Dissidence (similar to album version) and Red & Black. There were another 3 or 4, all okay but too short, although resisting the temptation to produce 8 minute long songs is admirable in one way. Peel announced that over the next couple of weeks, sessions will include (I've filtered out the ones of interest here): FSOL (well, somebody will be interested) (I heard them on Mixing It on Monday - they seem to have a very high opinion of themselves) Source Direct oh yes, and some unknown guitar band from Doncaster called Aphex Twin adam
