My all-time favorite 12" that they did was Gescom's "The Sound of Machines Our Parents Used" on Clear Records. Those three tracks still give me tingles every time I hear them. It's full of bleeps and bloops like Tri Repetae, but denser and not nearly as harsh. Envane has a lot of that low-frequency bass wobble. I was listening to Latent Quarter this afternoon on my walkman, and this bass kick came in that just froze my spine dead for maybe 20 seconds. onnow: v/a "welcome to lotus land" (map) Lame Thread Prevention in Effect: Aaron Michelson --------------------------------------------------------------------- aw-teck'r (autechre) "Everything you Know is Wrong" For reviews, interviews, art & trash http://www.on-it.net/~aaron/ aaron@defiant.on-it.net
