I bought the first Grain release shortly after it came out, i think it was in '96. But I remember the description of it as being "hard driving millsian techno from this first time producer & fatcat employee. That would seem to fit the description of Arthur Smith but who knows... I dont know how well known this is but the early pressings on the first Grain 12" came with a bonus 1-sided 10" that contained a bizarre sound-collage type track that incorporated everything from jazz to wierd samples & field recordings to triphop. I havent listen to it in ages but I remember being quite puzzled when hearing it. It was such a contract to the tracks on the 12" which are all hard driving techno numbers. -->-Lance--- lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
