Clicks and Cuts Various Artists Triple Vinyl from Mille Plateaux if you like idm, this record is 4 you. Although it claims to feature "abstract experiments" the artists are definitly human and so is their music. More than half of the tracks are pretty minimalistic in sounddesign. A lot of the sounds do stand out well alone and are nice to cut, scratch and pitch. The good quality vinyl helps. My favorites are Ester Brinkman - Maschine and Sutekh - Unstabile. The later consists almost entirley of sampled noise and clicks, filtered with nice fx. There is a little pamphlet endorsed with the record whch talks about this stuff being like Bleeps and Clonks. I guess it's true. Remember Tricky Disco's Housefly? This album made me dig out my old records!
