i was going to actually mention the exact same track.there are actually three rhythmic layers happening at once at one point. Ae also do a similar technique on the first track of chiastic slide. i think its a very cool way to shift tempos without doing the obvious double time/half time thing. i actually brought in that gescom remix of PBO into a graduate composition class that im in and my teacher (and the students) really dug the track. we actually notated some of the rhythms on the board at the points where the tempos shift thru the common rhythm of the triplets. it was funny, we were studying autechre/gescom in a graduate comp. seminar. pretty cool. i turned on this one very straght classical composer to ep7 and big loada. he bought them and the next day he came up to me and was asking if i could suggest anything else for him to buy. just thought id share that story. idm reaches academia. now thats real idm for you. :) later, greg davis autumn records http://autumnrecords.cjb.net np: toru takemitsu-works for guitar

Those of you who remember the Hekla > mix CD know this is the track he used to shift from tempo A (jungle/hip > hop) to tempo b (techno). Tricky shit, no doubt... -Våt > > NP - Cex "Am I Soundboy" (brilliant, brilliant stuff...) > > ____________________ > Reckankreuzungsklankewerkzeuge > PO BOX 382864.
