What struck me when I listened to "Bytes" for the first time a few days ago (I had only heard "Spanners" before) was that what really makes it the Black dog is its strength as an album rather than as individual tracks. Sometimes you can hear one-minute pieces of music which could easily have been developed to whole songs, but instead they are linking the music together -- like the seven "bolts" on "Spanners". This must be supported by the fact that the Black dog don't release singles (or do they?). In fact I *have* seen Black dog singles but that is a Swedish altertnative band. :-) +---------------------------- Johan Jaatinen ----------------------------+ | | | WHY DO YOU SAY MASHED POTATOES ? | | | +----- enigmatically posting as Anika Agebjoern <AniAg@Info.LiU.se> -----+
