Yep. It's called "Control Data" and is out on Mute Records. Most of the
music was done by Mark with someone called Simon Mundey. It's pretty good,
although it sounds a little dated (IMO). The second half has some pretty
direct references to Underground Resistance circa Riot.
There's a single as well, Dream Kitchen, out on 12" and CD with some extra
tracks.
Does anyone on the list like Source Direct and Mirage? SD's "The Crane" and
"Snake Style" and Mirage's "Feel My Dreams" are soooo cool. Most of the talk
I see on this list about jungle & drum 'n bass is about Squarepusher and
Plug... it seems a bit like people only want to discuss d'n'b if it's in
some way connected to IDM (Luke Vibert being Wagon Christ and all, SP on
Rephlex). There are really a lot more cool jungle records. And a lot of them
better than Squarepusher's mad noodlings, IMO. I like the SP album, but not
because it's great jungle or anything - more because it makes me smile.
Flame away!
