i picked this up at my local record store. (NOW! music in Arlington / Clarendon VA) this is a wicked WICKED album with a nice blend of quirky electronics, guitar, acoustic drums, and vocals (mostly female) in german. i believe POLE had something to do with this album as it's stated Gemischt Von POLE band: Quarks title: Konigin label: Monika cat# monika10 Quarks sind Jovanka Von Willsdorf und Niels Lorenz Jovanka Willsdorf: synthesizer, gitarre, bass, gesang und altari Niels Lorenz: synthesizer, s-tausend, gesang, gitarre, bass und altari 1.) gut (besser) 2.) gleich 3.) konigin 4.) morgenfruh 5.) pol 6.) fallen 7.) insicherheit 8.) schiffbauch 10.) dunkeln 11.) nichts mehr 12.) still 13.) zeit hin 14.) vorbei i don't know how to really describe this album because it really is quite unique. at times it reminds me of pluramon or schlammpeitziger and at others it reminds me of pole minus the dub. although i have no idea what the lyrics mean (can't read german) Jovanka's voice mixes beautifully with the music. sounding at times like straight up idm / techno and other times like post-rock, this album is what i've been searching for since my urge for more vocal based electronic music brought upon by Super_Collider. other stuff: penguin mechanics vol III - tweaked out electronics for those who desire the DSP noodlings of today's IDMsters i found the sabres of paradise 'wilmot' in the used bin for three bucks! (one of the best used bins i've come across) kid606 and friends - cool packaging. very tweaky with a sense of humor to boot the future of the human race depends on c++ class NAME { public: void Christian(); private: char Hresko; }; //christian.adam.hresko. -- " kid for a day.
