I think the numbering was deliberately misleading, anyway, that's not
important. I don't know who Jega is, but his EP is F***ing brilliant.
The last track has a weird rock beat
with loads of orchestra samples superimposed on it. The melodic sensibility
of some of the other tracks is brilliant. It bears some comparison to rephlex,
and his influences are obviouslt Autechre and mu-ziq.
This is someone we will here
a lot more about very soon I am sure...
Incidentally, if you speak to ambient soho in London, they own the worm
interface label. You should be able to get the freeform album from them...
I haven't heard the 'elastic speakers' album yet...
