There's some recent electro, f'rinstance Octagon Man's "The Demented Spirit"
(Vinyl Solution), that are influenced by the sound of industrial, without
getting mired in the political aspects of the genre that drags the most
promising industrial into the black hole of didactic ressenticore. I think
it's possible to sample a harsh and aggressive environment (real or
imagined) without belaboring the idea with words or droning it on a static
loop that refuses to change into something that I might get something out of.
