giving away some records...
imr and Orbitrecords are proud to be giving away five copies of the
limited (200 copies) pre-release of the .x09 fzz ep. As described in the
last installment of 'from the horse's mouth...' this record explores "the
boundaries of experimental percussive dance music, integrating syncopated,
bouncy rhythms with highly abrasive jagged drum tones and samples."
In any event, if you'd like to win a copy of this 4-track 12" single
here's what you have to do...
Write a review of a DJ-oriented record that is
approximately 100 words in length. Send it to
imr@world.std.com and we'll award records to the
five best written reviews.
Good luck, and don't hesitate to enter since it seems that the more effort
the giveaways require the less competition there is. We may even ask some
of the winners to write for 'slipmat' in the future since we're planning
on turning 'slipmat' into its own e-zine around the same time we convert
imr into a new Web-oriented e-zine.
If you'd like to check out imr just send the message "subscribe" to
imr-request@world.std.com (note, though, that the e-zine covers a wide
variety of music and therefore some of the content may be of interest to
readers of this list while other content may not).
