Popped into the local shop on Wednesday to pick up new LFO, Autechre,
B12, and STC but none were there!
Fortunately they had a number of copies of the Black CD by Air Liquide.
I was quite surprised to see it considering the inside of RED claims that
it is only available by direct mail order from Sm:)e in New York.
I'm new to Air Liquide and only just picked up their double cd pack and
Red in November. With the addition of Black to my humble (yet slowly
growing with tremendous thanks to the folks at VISA) library, the albums
rate good, better and best.
BLACK is similar to Red in style but lacks the (IMO) weaker tracks that
RED contains. Ms. Applegate (?) is back again but without the annoying
vocals of Red's track 2. (Pity, track 2 starts out so brilliantly!) My
recommendation is to buy this release, play it, enjoy it, then play it
again. Can hardly wait for the next one. Maybe something in a lovely
polka dot?
Also grabbed the new one from The Octagon Man because it was recommended
by someone a few weeks back. Pure brilliance.
