where did anyone get the idea that club djs are going to give any more exposure
to a record/label than radio djs even if they do play your stuff. Unless you
are actually standing in front of the booth, which all djs love, how does
anyone know what is being played? Some djs do make charts, but these are
generally only seen by other djs who already know about the record. IMO the
whole white label/promo thing just becomes another layer of one-upsmanship in
the already over-ego'd world of club djs. I always find the promos for sale in
the shops anyway so why not just forget the whole thing? I'm with those who
say just release the stuff to the public en masse and cut the ltd edition hard
to find games.
