After a drought of a couple of months, I've recently been buying records like they're goin' out of fashion. A fave label of mine, Soma, which is rarely mentioned here, has had a few great releases. Envoy - Heart and Soul EP (could be Heart of the Soul, can't remember). This has an excellemt track called 'Machines need love too' which could bring tears to the yes. Envoy - Solitary Mission EP . Another worthwhile package, 3 fairly laid back tracks and a heavier minimal track. Can't remember the track titles unfortunately. Chaser - Sides of Iron . Apparently samples an old UK TV series called Ironside, hence the title. This track is a s funky as fouck and should get some butts moving. The other side is a deeper affair, Destination Unkown, another great dancefloor track. Another System 7 track(????) has been given the remix treatment by Doc Scott, Voodoo Doctor (I think) and David Holmes. The Doc Scott mix is pure string heaven, even my speakers had a smile when I played this through them. The David Holmes mix comes under his Exploding Plastic alias and is a pretty good, heavy trance workout. United Future Orginisation - Alex Reece remix is a very nice laid back jazz affair, the other side being a rougher drum 'n bass workout under the name Original Playboys. Not sure if this is Reece's R&S guise, anyone? DJ T Ricciardi - Don't Wait For Me. This Tribal release (oldish), has an excellent mix by DJ Vibe on the flip. Original mixes don't do much for me but the DJ Vibe Dub Mix is just excellent. This miz appears as the last track on Kaos Totally Mixed, an ace deep house mix. To be picked up on sight! Get in touch by personal e-mail for more info. Cioa, Derek. Machines need love too!!! Hug a computer today!!!??!!!
