Hold up a sec here. Do you really think the major-label deal can be clasified as fatal? In a recent mini-profile in Urb magazine, Lavelle maintained that the only reason he hooked up with a major-label was so he could be able to sign the artists he wants. I mean, the guy lost both Tricky and and Portishead to other labels, and he seemed a bit miffed about that (and rightfully so, IMHO). Can you really blame him? - Matthew P.S. Jonathan, could you go into a bit more detail about the three different labels that Mo' Wax has split into? I hadn't heard about this...
