Anyone interested in the Mo' Wax label should check out the summer edition
of Straight No Chaser for James Lavelle's Column.
First off, he says "Whom ever came up with this musical tag "Trip Hop"
gets the bozack, no, the Brass bozack. Abstract hip hop (Shadow,
Dust Bros, RPM, Nightmares on Wax) is not trip hop - know what I mean
tuff guy? Stop categorising shit!" I guess I agree on not categorising
things but it's kind of funny hat he acts as such an authority.
Also, he must be in with the people at Warp cause he has the new Black
Dog album and says its "going to change few heads - taking the techno
and hip hop crossover to another level. A journey through weird loops
and classic Mad Dog madness.
But most importantly, anyone that liked the La Funk Mob ep should check
out the remixes coming soon from Carl Craig, Richie Hawtin and Nightmares
On Wax (!!). Mo' Wax is going crazy...
