From: gstrock@dpc.com (Greg Strockbine) To: idm@hyperreal.com Subject: Aphex Twin - duh?? ok, I've resisted buying any Aphex Twin up till now even though I've read gushing stuff about him. I picked up "I Care.." because I read good things here about it and also because it showed up at my local suburban Tower store, which is unusual. I've gotten as far as the "sinister" sounding track (which made me think of Throbbing Gristle's Zyklon B Zombie, only I like TG better). Mainly I don't get it. What am I missing? Why is this one so good? I do love the cover though. It looks like a cross between Alfred E. Neuman and the hitch hiker from the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It spooky. It looks like an obsessed nerd who has been up for about 3 days straight. Excellent!
