Anyone else checked his latest 12" - Highway to Xenia?
Pretty interesting bridge between techno and IDM imo. His earlier stuff
had more of a microhouse edge to it, but this one is defintitely crunchy.
Comes with a bonus CD tucked inside, which I haven't played yet (just
now ripping the vinyl to my hard drive).
This stuff sounds tilted towards the Werk label, but to my ears more
listenable, more layered and deep than even the best of that stuff.
Rather than harboring echoes of DnB ( of which one might accuse the Werk
material), it's rooted more in classic idm with tech sensibilities.
