Really? I haven't liked anything he's done since 7.sevens.med and I think his best track was the first track on his first record ("Personal Discourse"). -- :: atomly :: [ atomly@atomly.com : www.atomly.com ... Yeah, I should rephrase that. His style changed rather drastically recently and his old stuff played to a different crowd compared to the new stuff. I'm still not a fan, but i can listen to the new stuff without goign mad ;D derek -- eggytoast.com - eggtastic.com ------ it's in your grocer's freezer --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I've heard about all his stuff and the only album I'm not in any rush to get is the Nymphomatriarch, which I find kinda boring, but I only heard it on mp3. It seems kinda slow, but what do those of you who own the cd think? UN BORN BABYDUNNANDDANNAADSF!!!! On Fri, 20 Jun 2003, Charles Terhune wrote:

Yeah, i wouldn't say his stuff is simply "good". Its much better than just good. :P Hopefully this thread doesn't plunge into arguements about opinions. I'll say, with snares at least, if you've heard one track, you haven't necessarily heard them all. Compare Making Orange Things to the Addict 11 7", to "We Are Oceans", or some of the ambient stuff from WITBOAS. Even if you don't like any of the stuff, he's amazingly prolific. - cutups ----- Original Message ----- From: "Aaron McCammon" <plosive@hotpop.com> To: <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Friday, June 20, 2003 2:33 PM Subject: Re: [idm] Venetian snares

I'll agree with this.. i was bein a lil too blunt. He has the ability to make a good track, indeed.

i dont have enough interest, so it won't be from me ;]

Yeah, many people have said that.. and many people have recommended track after track to me. I've given vsnares many opportunities the past couple years to make sure i wasn't missing anything.
quoted 2 lines stuff from WITBOAS. Even if you don't like any of the stuff,> stuff from WITBOAS. Even if you don't like any of the stuff, > he's amazingly prolific.
I did like some of the more ambient pieces on WITBOAS, but overall i wished i bought a different CD, cause im tight on cash and hate to be let down =1 Prolific? This is really where my problem w/ vsnares fans come from. I don't find anything about his music prolific or unique. BUT! I can still appreciate some of it. So... this isn't really a flame, more of a vent over hype... not that its all hype.. and not that hype is nessicarily a bad thing. so i guess im really saying nothing, other than im not a fan. i then there's the other times when i open my big mouth when i probably shouldn't... oh wait, this mighta been one of those times. damn. i feel out numbered. heh ;]
