digitonal . mailout #3 revised format this month due to an irrational hatred of green amongst the readership ;o) Live Activity Digitonal will be playing live at Pool on Curtain Road, Shoreditch, London on the afternoon of Sunday 15th December. This will be our first gig with drummer Callum Macmillan so expect something a little different from our usual sound. Full details will be posted up on our website very soon, but we will not be mailing out a reminder. We are planning to do another couple of low-key nights after christmas in preparation for the next item..: Digitonal have been booked for the re-organised Dedbeat Weekender as part of a Toytronic Records showcase. We'll be playing live with full lineup alongside Multiplex and CiM. The weekend also sees a truly special avant garde hip-hop and electronica bill including Aesop Rock, Blackalicious, RDJ2, Rephlex Records, Planet-mu Records and Andrew Weatherall amongst others. Full details at http://www.dedbeat.net . * Other Business Thanks to Media Lounge for having us play at their truly exceptional night of unconvential cinematic entertainment. Best keep an eye on these boys...whilst we're on the subject of the Sheffield crew, 65*daysofstatic have emerged from hibernation and are hitting the M1 to play some london dates which we thoroughly recommend you check out if you're even vaguely interested in the future of british guitar music. As Andy normally says, "like Kid606 kicking the shit out of Mogwai round the back of the bikesheds". 65* play Rough Trade's RoTa night at Notting Hill Arts Club on the 26th of November and 93Ft East on Brick Lane on the 16th of December (the day after our gig - why not double bubble). You'll find full details at static HQ Tickets are now on sale for the Seed 2nd Birthday party at Aldwych Tube Station which is going to include the long awaited comeback of the Part-Time World Champions, alongside an essential line up including Goldfrapp, Plaid, Gescom, Posthuman and all the Kinky Voodoo crew.::. expect...well, expect the great electro swindle, alongwith our apologies...after all, "if we didn't have to practise, we'd be wicked." This month's props go to: Huskey's Studio in Elephant & Castle which are doing a fine job of hosting our rehearsals :: John P and the rest of the Kinky Voodoo massive for getting us back behind the decks :: Seed Records for being thouroughly nice chaps and inviting us to play some records down their yard :: Jo Bury, Sasha Dunn, Anders Baath for their patience as we bring the noise. November Soundtrack :: Ulrich Schnauss (still), Boom Bip, Xela, Autofire, Old Photek, Jo's record collection, loreena Mckennit (don't ask...) debut album 23:thingsfallapart (toytronic records TOY13) is still available through www.smallfish.com and all good independant record shops. .:www.digitonal.com:. please reply to this email with 'unsubscribe' as the subject header if you wish to be removed from this mailing list.
