Although i might be a little behind on this, Pilote's "Doitnowman" full length on Certificate18 (UK) is well worth the purchase. Fine quality gritty electro mixed with upbeat instrumental/live sounding electronics. Artists like Andre Estermann, Proem, and Telefon Tel Aviv are comparable to Pilote but Pilote's sound is still quite unique and abrasive on its own. Check out http://www.certificate18.com for more info.. While they remain true to the Drum & Bass movement, i think Pilote steers left of this genre altogether.. i absolutely agree with this one, especially track 2, "french canadian". i also fell in love with pilote's first album 'antenna' a couple of years ago. i really appreciate quirkiness and a sense of humor in music in general--which is why i like things like mr scruff's fish song and shanty town. (he was pretty disappointing as a live dj, though, in the one show i went to.)

If you enjoyed 'Dreim' on Kracfive (www.kracfive.com), then you may already have looked into his releases with DUB (Cenny EP), Neo Ouija (Red Pear EP), Planet Mu (Atomic Tadley EP & Tadley Management LP), Mouthmoth (Brother Max EP) and his upcoming LP with Neo Ouija called "Smiling Little Cow".. he's also collaborated on the Original Instrument release with Colongib & Octopus Inc on Kracfive doing the percussive bits & bytes.. So as you can see, Reimer Eising has been quite busy producing top-notch electronic listening music along similar (sounding) lines as Plaid, Yunx, and other instrumentally emotional electronic artists.. Check out Kettel's discography below for more info.. http://www.kracfive.com/kettel/discog.html There's also a Profile with Reimer (Kettel) at igloomag.com going back a little while now..
