SiS is a series of workshops teaching techniques in electronic
music and digital sound composition, focusing on the production
of soundtracks for films made from surveillance camera footage
the workshops will involve six evenings working with the lead
artists as well as additional access to a media lab with technical
assistance provided, covering the basic skills required for the
composition/production of soundtracks right through to the
production of original soundtracks by the participants
session 1 :: 29 oct - 1 nov 01

session 2 :: 5 nov - 10 nov 01
¬studio time
session 3 :: 12 nov - 14 nov 01
¬production of finished soundtracks
session 4 :: 16 nov

SiS is an extension of broken channel and cctv <the director's cut>.
women in electronica is a regular strand of the futuresonic festival
that facilitates performance, training and networking opportunities
for female artists
futuresonic is also collaborating in the lynx white label competition
that offers aspiring music-makers the chance to have their music
pressed on white label and distributed worldwide on a compilation cd
