I played a set this weekend and managed to make my laptop unable to boot
about three hours before I was supposed to play (note: NT4 Zip drivers
don't work under Windows 2000) and had to go over to a friends house and
reinstall the OS from CD (since it treated the ZIP as a boot device it
wouldn't boot and even if I booted to the console and disable the ZIP
service, the SCSI was still fucked)... I actually downloaded the driver
for my soundcard while the DJ was playin his last record (big up having
a network connection within reach of the DJ table).
