Not necessarily the place to discuss this, but the tascam is a killer
cassette 8 track. Most of the beats my buddy Tack Fu produces have gone
through his 488. You are going to get some hiss, but once you learn how
hard to hit it when you record you can get really nice banging stuff
out of it. $500 is an excellent price for one if you can find it.
New they're over $1K...
