Listening to the new Luke Slater for the second time now. I really dig this
disc! It's sort of a cross between what AUX-88 and Freaky Chakra could sound
like if they had a harder edge. Slater blows away the lines between old-skool
electro and the harsher sounds of modern machines.
My favorite spot on the disc is track 2, and how well it just launches you
into the disc. Track 1 is a slow beat breakdown that keeps you in the gates,
waiting for the starting gun. Track 2 fires the shot, and launches you into
1999-era electro jamz. And the disc carries forth from there quite well.
