Thought i'd mention this release, as it has
been in rotation over here the past two days.
Just when you thought drum and bass was losing
its flavor, Rob Galbraith (aka Codec and 1/2 Logiq)
surprise's us with a full-length that steers clear of
recent stuff like Random, Hrvatski, and even Photek
for that matter, but retains the same theory of beats
+ breaks + odd electronics.
Codec twists and darkens the way drum and bass
~should~ sound, and molds an array of construed
melodies and electro bits with sharp jungle breaks.
Overall, Fragments is an impressive full-length of moody
electronics that is well produced and nicely packaged.
Glad to see another list-member pursuing their musical
