quoted 2 lines He has a remix on the single for "Softly", which is from Lamb's new album,>He has a remix on the single for "Softly", which is from Lamb's new album, >"Fear Of Fours". The album rules, incidentally.
IMO, the album seems to suffer from a common musical folly: the presence of VOCALS. Now I understand that Lamb is an intrinsically vocals-based band, but they are quite offensive in parts, when it sounds like Mary Kate (or perhaps Ashley) Olsen is on the mic rather than Louise Rhodes. I find myself often saying this about trip-hop (is that what to call them) bands, that they would do better sans vocals, and that that sometimes silly human element kinda ruins the beautiful musical effect. Of course, taking out the vocals would make most such bands sound like non-singing-guested Red Snapper, but in this man's opinion the world needs more RED SNAPPER! --Geoff

Goddamn that human element. I want all music to sound like a TI-83 puttering away at the end of the world. I want tightly compacted, cold, harsh digital nothings. - wells oliver / s0ewoliv@titan.vcu.edu
