yesterday I picked up Passarani's latest, "Unspeakable Future Outbreaks"..
excellent stuff. Dark strings with some kuhl electro-ish breaks.. One of the
songs on the album was on a 12" I picked up about 2 years ago but since then
Passarani more or less moved to the misty realms of my brain often referred
to as "oblivion", until yesterday when my memory was suddenly revived due to
my unexpected discovery.
I was also wondering if any people on the list are familiar with Akifumi
Nakajima's (aka Aube) output? I'm referring to his drone / ambient stuff,
not the full-blast powernoise doodlings he's done with people like Cock
E.S.P. for example. If you like Aube, get his "Evocation" cd (if you still
can that is). Scary stuff.
Lately I've been into stuff from Thomas Köner, Tacile and Lustmord to name a
few but I was wondering if anyone had some recommendations in the dark
ambient field along the lines of the artists mentioned before. I ordered
albums by Alio Die, Steve Roach and Köner but those will probably take a
while to arrive..
