hi all, just a quick note to say we're looking for artists who'd like to release mp3s and CDRs (and possibly commercially pressed CDs, we'll see how it goes..) through Monotonik, our 'idm' online label. [Check out http://www.mono211.com ] Stylistically, Monotonik is probably on the more melodic side of idm, influenced more by ambience than great wads of repetitive noise. But download some of the representative mp3s such as the Jiva and Distance releases to see, and don't be discouraged - we like the stuff we like because we like it, if you see what I mean :) We don't have a lot of very active artists on Monotonik right now, which is why I'm taking this proactive step. We're also very interested in people who might fit into the Mono211 label's style itself (broadly, breakbeats, straying towards hiphop and Ninja Tune.. download the Tek, Vim!, and Prob mp3s for an idea). We're strictly a fun, friendly, largely non-profit collective, and.. well, you get the idea. Check out the tunes and the style on www.mono211.com and email me personally at simonc@glassghost.com or h0l@mono211.com if you're interested. regards, h0l/simon (mono211+toniknullstarz.)
